What is NDIS?
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a government-funded program in Australia that provides support and assistance to people with disabilities. The NDIS aims to empower individuals with disabilities by providing them with necessary support to achieve their goals, increase their independence, and improve their overall quality of life. The NDIS offers a wide range of services including therapy, equipment, and home modifications, as well as support for daily living and personal care. Additionally, the NDIS provides funding for plan management services that help individuals access and coordinate the different services and supports they need. The NDIS is available to Australian citizens and permanent residents of all ages who have a permanent and significant disability, and meet the eligibility requirements. NDIS is a new way of providing disability support, that gives people more choice, control and flexibility over the support they receive. This allows individuals with disabilities to live a more independent and fulfilling life.
